SYSTIMAX Fibre Patch Panels
FAQs
SYSTIMAX 360G2 panels provide a modular platform for compatible cartridges and InstaPATCH 360 components. High-density and ultra-density SYSTIMAX panels accommodate progressively more module slots within the available rack space, making them suitable for larger data centre and telecommunications deployments. The correct option depends on the required fibre count, rack-unit availability and planned expansion.
Yes. A compatible unloaded SYSTIMAX modular fibre panel can be populated as connections are required, allowing unused slots to be reserved for future network growth. Capacity should be calculated by fibre count rather than slot count alone because LC, SC and MPO modules can provide different numbers of connections. Blank inserts should be fitted where specified to protect unused openings.
Check the panel family, module format and CommScope product code before ordering. A 360G2 cartridge, InstaPATCH 360 module or another high-density component should only be installed in a chassis designed for that format. Fibre type, connector interface, polarity and port capacity must also match the wider singlemode or multimode cabling system.
For pre-terminated fibre trunks, choose a SYSTIMAX chassis and compatible InstaPATCH 360 modules designed for rapid modular connection. Field-terminated cables normally require suitable splice cassettes with pigtails or a dedicated SYSTIMAX fibre splicing shelf. Confirm the termination method early so the enclosure has sufficient splice storage, cable entry capacity and bend-radius management.
