Fibre Patch Panel Accessories
FAQs
No. Fibre patch panel accessories are often designed for a particular manufacturer, product family, panel generation and rack height. Before ordering, check the panel model, global SKU, mounting arrangement and required fitment. A SYSTIMAX G2 accessory or Siemon component should not be assumed to fit an unrelated fibre enclosure simply because its dimensions appear similar.
A rear extension increases the usable space behind a compatible fibre panel and can provide additional cable-entry positions for incoming trunks or assemblies. A rear door cover closes and protects the back of the enclosure. Depending on the system design, both may be required to create the intended rear cable-management and protection arrangement.
A blank fibre adaptor occupies an unused adaptor position in a compatible panel or module. It closes the open position, helps maintain an orderly presentation and makes unused capacity easy to identify. Blanking an opening does not install an optical connection; the blank must be replaced with the correct fibre adaptor when that port is commissioned.
Cable-mount kits and attachment brackets provide defined fixing points for incoming fibre cables, fittings or pre-terminated assemblies. Correct mounting helps transfer cable weight and pulling forces away from adaptors, cassettes and fibre terminations. Select the accessory according to the panel family, number of cable entries and fitting size required by the installation.
